The staff there make donating blood and other blood products very easy and almost pleasant. They are quite efficient and super friendly. And they always thank you for coming down to donate. They know you're doing a good thing and they show their appreciation.

The blood you donate gives someone else a chance to live. One day this person might be one of your loved ones, Be a friend, a loved one or even yourself. What a valuable gift.

Literally told by an angry older lady that they do not need any donations from anyone and that you can't make an appointment or just walk in while telling me you could do a walk in but they don't feel like it. The phone number for red cross has people who lie and put you on hold despite there being no way to transfer calls while working from home, according to them at least. They said they no longer want any donations including myself, an O- donor who's been donating for over a decade. They've also shut down all donation drives and will never give anything for donating, not that you're able to anyways according to most of employees and phone reps I've spoken to. They don't give me anything while I have to go out of my way to go there. I used to donate because it's a good thing to do, but now that I've been told by the lady watching the front door that they don't want donations and the call center staff confirming this. I've gotten to donate about 4 times total for the past 2 to 3 years because they were never ready to take anyone at the time they set the appointments for at the donation drives due to negligence. I've gone dozens of times to donate and they've either turned me away or said to wait 2 hours, which I couldn't do because I only made enough time for about an hour after most appointments, not the 3 hours I'd need minimum they told me once I got there. And now the donation center, the only one in the area says they don't want donations, at all. Terrible company who complain about not having enough blood while not only being lazy and no one doing anything but also being hostile and actively driving people away.

The staff is genuinely concerned about making your experience the best it can be. They're a lot of fun, too!

Key word is donation. Red Cross does not pay. You cannot make money donating. That stopped a long time ago. Sometimes they will offer an added incentive in the form of a t-shirt. Once in a while they will get $5 or $10 gift cards from corporations to offer as a "thank you". Gift card thank yous only happen once in a while.
Apparently yes, with written request from attending physician and patient consent.
Zero
There is a salvation army right up the street on Cottage St. The biomedical site does not do disaster services.
Makes no sense
No. You can't legally sell but you can donate it. Many patients need it to survive.

Not free. You have to pay for the classes. Call to find out how much and when
