Chris came out on time to do a simple electrical cable swap from a 3 prong to a 4 prong on my dryer in my new home, small job ok. Well, when he plugged it in to the receptacle, it was VERY loose. He said it was the black cover that was loose on the receptacle and that the new electrical cord was "very tight" since it was new. He left, my dryer did not come on!. I called him, 7:30 pm, he hemmed and hawwed said "my tech turns his phone off at 6pm, I will see what I can do, this is after I had waited from last Friday until Monday when he showed up at 5 pm. Now it is 7:30pm , no working dryer, the electrical cord popped off the receptical. So, Chris shows up about 10 am Tuesday. Now he says the same thing, the black cover is the problem, and now that the receptacle is bad and that I need an electrician to fix the problem. I ask why didn't you tell me this before? You left me with a problem on a 220 volt hazard, plugged in! Good thing I was smart enough to flip the breaker to off. I had written him a check to him personally, not to his business, no invoice written by the way, although he did say, "If I did anything wrong I will pay for the electrician and not cash the check". I said ok, fair enough, this was via a phone call. I called an electrician, who came out on Wednesday 12/9, now 5 days after I first called Simple Fix and 3 days after he first came out!. The electrician said yes, the receptacle is bad, the hot leads are "broken" and never should have been plugged in, it is a fire hazard, was able to pull the plug off with 2 fingers, this should be tight tight tight and SNAP in and out!. He also checked the wiring to the dryer and had to hand tighten the connections which were a tad loose, not real loose, but not real tight either, which should have been snug. Another fault. Also, Simple Fix said the dryer had to be further out from the wall since the NEW electrical cord was not flexible. That was not true. The electrician did a great job, and the the dryer is now 6 inches from the wall, not 20 inches. I have run 6 loads of clothes thru it, no problem. I informed Simple Fix yesterday 12/10 of all these problems, and how unhappy I was with their performance. All I kept getting was, "I did the job properly with no issues, I have great reviews, I do great work, etc etc". I repeatedly told him, you left me with a fire hazard and knew it should not have been plugged in etc, quite a few times. This went back and forth. I never asked him to pay for the electrician, I even sent him a photo of the electricians invoice showing where he said he had to tighten the connections. The response I got was "I will send this to my insurance company". Why I asked? I am not asking you to pay for the electrician! I am unhappy with your work, you said if you did anything wrong, you would not cash the check, and that you don't cash them until Friday anyhow. So I stopped payment on the check since this conversation was going no where. He said he would take it to civil court. I said "no need for that, I am unhappy with your work, you left me with a fire hazard and you knew it was a very loose connection before you left". Now I see he even went and cashed the check. !!! After I said I had stopped payment. Well, enjoy that money. I have no problem paying for repairs, if they are done correctly, like the electrician did. He did a fantastic job. You did not. End of story. I even offered to pay for the electrical cord and the vent ring that you put on. Got no answer on that. So my question is why, no invoice in your company name, but a check to you personally? I will never even think about using you again!!!!! Sorry, not sorry!!!! In response to the Owners response. When I spoke to the owner on the phone and was given the original price, I simply asked if he gave a "Veterans Discount" being a Navy Veteran and 62 years old. Not unusual! Convo about friends death was during his work! To call me dishonest? No, you did terrible work! Just admit it!

I got an appointment next day, and they actually showed up on time. Very rarely have I had a maintenance man show up even close to the time given. Nick fixed it quickly for a good price. Highly recommended.

Original contact was via phone call to Simple Fix on Dec. 18, 2019 - the man indicated he was driving at the moment and asked if I could please text him details of what was needed, and he'd make an appointment for me on Dec. 27. I did as he asked - texted right away with all requested details (model # of appliance, address, etc.) and did not hear back. Followed up on Dec. 26 without response. I posted a 1-star review at that time indicating the lack of service, no response, no follow-up, etc. Finally heard back from the man (never got his name, sorry) on Dec. 31 and he apologized, expressed there had been a personal issue (accident occurred) that came up, please take my review down, and he offered a free service call for any future need. Under the circumstances I agreed with no hard feelings. Things happen, right? .... So skip forward to May 18, 2020. I re-sent him images of our previous (text) conversation and asked if he could contact me again to set up an appointment. It is now May 28 and I have AGAIN heard nothing. Therefore, I can conclude either Simple Fix has gone out of business or really doesn't care about customer service. Something fishy about any company who has 100% perfect reviews anyhow... Cannot recommend this service.

We hired Chris to come fix our stove. He was prompt and got it working quickly. While here we asked him about redoing out powder bath and trim around our doors. He put us on the schedule in the next couple of weeks. He and his partner installed tile, shiplap, and the vanity/toilet...even fixed some minor plumbing issues. Our bathroom is GORGEOUS. Chris is amazing and we felt very comfortable with him working in our home. They also did a beautiful job on the door trim. I highly recommend him and his services.
