I moved down here a year a year ago to go to Moffitt cancer center McKinley campus. My then Dr Kimberly Lee who I told I had numbing and tingling in my feet She then said that's not my thing and never gave you a refer ral or even a scan when I mention that. Fast-forward I switched oncologist who I thought Was a great fit, Doctor Loftis Whose physician assistant Genevieve Confronted me on an appointment with her saying that Kimberly Lee gave me a referral back then So I brought that up to my now oncologist is collegest who literally flipped out on me in the office yelling at me saying it saying if you don't like it here why are you still here is still here so I left ft now I've been trying to get ahold of the local cancer center here would she gave me the referral for an iron infusion A few months back I now have one more week until my next treatment is due and this Local oncologist that she knows personally has not contacted me yet and it's just so happens that moffatt also sent me a certified letter stating If this local cancer facility can't treat you or won't treat you we could help basically that's to cover their a** for telling them not to treat me I cannot believe how I was treated by a large cancer facility facility and now I'm stuck with no oncologist

Just like all the other Moffitt campuses, it's a wonderful experience with fantastic Dr's.

My mom has been diagnosed for over a month and no treatment has been completed or scheduled. She has stage 4 cancer and was told without treatment she has months to live yet there is no sense of urgency. 2/3 of her doctors are on vacation and it’s impossible to get through to anyone because they are out of the office and you have to go through a call center. The bedside manner is poor and the lack of communication is even worse. Nurse practitioner Stephanie in the inpatient hospital was combative and robotic. I wish we would have known before coming here. It’s an hour away and we thought we were going to the best cancer center.

There's an Embassy Suites right by the corner of fowler and USF, and i believe there's a La Quinta on the corner of fowler and Mckinley. Hope this helps
Can get second opinion but would have to be in person for the visit. After which, Moffitt also regularly leads treatment plans with the patients local oncologists too (i.e. treatment plan driven by Moffitt physicians but done with local oncologists). Call their number and self refer for a second opinion visit.
No I haven't seen any. But if I can remember one of my patients did say there is park but they drive their car 45 min to Moffitt. I found one on Google called Lazy days RV in Tampa.
Yes, as long as she is not sick.
Yes, the campus near Fletcher is accessed from Bruce B Downs Blvd and USF Holly Dr (just a smidge south of Fletcher), this is the main hospital and offices. It's tucked within the borders of the USF Tampa campus.
Yes, they have social workers available to talk with you, as well as other resources available to cancer patients.
Call and make appointment. Take all medical records, 2017 tax return, pay stubs and two bills with current address. After check in they will send you to business office. Also insurance info will be needed. If no insurance, they will process thru State of Florida. Wife just declared Cancer Free. Thanks Moffit
Yes I believe they do, but I also suggest you call and ask.. but, which facility
It's American Cancer Society's Tampa Hope Lodge. You need to call Moffitt for details.
