Cool place with a lot to see
MARCUS DE MATOS
Amazing Wildlife Management Area, from heavy duty nature, to several amazing primitive campsites, this place has all you need to have fun. Several off-road trails, just be smart, do not get off-road unless you are fully prepared, a 4x4 is a must during summer time.

Yes
Hello Matt I have been going to the JW Corbett area since I was a little boy and my father since he was a little boy. There are two entrances to the JW Corbett area and depending on what you are trying to do depends on which entrance you should use. There are designated campsites off of the main grade that goes through the entire Corbett area. Since it is after January 1st you may not leave your camp set up overnight during the week only on the weekends. If you would have started camping back in September you could literally leave your campsite setup all the way until January 1st. if you come in through the back entrance off Northlake boulevard then you will enter by the hungry land boardwalk and that is a fun little hike through the woods on a boardwalk over the water so you don't get wet. then drive through the Corbett area until you get to whichever campsite you would like it is a nice long drive all the way through until you get to beeline highway and indiantown road.
Sorry, I don't know exactly. We have never stayed there overnight we've only done day rides through the main grade roads of the park.
No this guy wrong, motorbikes are if they have a fl.tag.,and atv's are knot aloud at any time.
In Corbett no there was invasive the Everglades the are beautiful and safe
yea, you can get a rv in. they have various campsites. some easier to access then others some closer to entrence then others. no hook ups. no facilities on site
Hi Stephanie, This is a wild habitat that is managed and protected. Any species found here are living in a natural environment without borders, cages, nor displays.
If you're going in through the North entrance it's just after the last concrete block dip and it'll be on your right just as you turn south.
I was actually just in corbitt last weekend, they have small structures that I knew as barracks as a kid, that now have mini splits on them for ac.
No, side by sides or large platform buggies.
You can have a vehicle, side by side or a buggy, but ATV's such as 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, and off road only motorcycles are banned.
Not through the hiking trails. I see big wheel buggies riding through some areas.
Call FWC for the most accurate info. 561-625-5122
Yes
W.l.m.A.stapfor the year is 26.50and that good for all w.l.m.a.in Florida,
Main entrance. Straight down Seminole pratt... And ur best bet is the right side power line trail. I live 2 seconds from there and i wheel in there in my truck a few times a week
Yes, but use caution on the unpaved, graded roads. The more clearance your vehicle has, the better.
No I was just out there last week it wet very wet alot of empty camps so your good
Yes they are. It is the real wood and with a lot of privacy like primitive camping just watch out for FWC but dogs are allowed
Hi Scott. Are there any outdoor recreational shooting locations nearby?
Yes. Management Area permit and hunting license you will need a muzzleloading license Muzzleloader season starts between October 2nd Thru the 20th I believe
I really don't know personally but I do have friends that say the farther away from the roads and public areas the better you are. Hopefully that helps but the whole area has a lot of hogs.
I think it $6 for a vehicle.
During hunting season and with proper hunting licenses, yes.
Yes RV camping tent camping fishing hiking hunting. No facilities no hook ups so bring a generator.
I tried, it doesn't say one way or another. McCarty Ranch is not too far from there and they do allow it.
I know it's not hunting season but I'm not sure that you're allowed to shoot anywhere
Yes. Certain times
From what I could tell YES. I mean we were on a swap buggy and it was great. They even had trails.
There are marked trails or grades. I wouldn't necessarily say they're for bicycles although you can probably go down quite a few of them in the dry season which is right now. You can find a map online or at the gate when you enter. Make sure to pay your $6 per car load when you come in. The rangers will give you a ticket for it if you do not. It is a really fun place to go. If you enter from the back entrance off of Northlake you can take the board walk out into the woods otherwise just enjoy riding the trails. Only campfires in campsites they will be labeled. Make sure to bring extra water as there is no drinkable water out there
Yes they're Osceola turkeys there but you better be on top of your game. Public land lots of hunters. I recommend Three Lakes
Hello I know I can be of assistance. When you enter either the front gate or the back gate of the Corbett area there will be a small yellow metal box... Take out the envelope and put $6 in it for each car load of people. Deposit the envelope into the box and hang the other portion on your mirror. Or if you go to a sporting goods store you can get an annual pass but each person needs one then... Easier for $6 car load. There Are No reservations when you get there you will understand it's just 63,000 empty acres.. the boardwalk is fun at the back by the youth camp. but then you must come further in words for the campsites. The campsites go on for Miles right off the main road
Near high low road, on the L8 canal. And im sure there's more places, you can always stop and ask a warden or the people at the south gate entrance.
Used to be in the youth camp, not sure if there is anymore
I don't see why not BUT there are places it's hard to drive unless in a car. Just need to call them. Also a lot of guys have big trucks and they go a good speed around the dusty corners. I might not advise it.
Even tho there are a lot of walking paths and definitely many off road trails, I was told by a Fish & Game person that vehicles must stay on the main roads and stay off the many little side roads or face possibility of a ticket, except during hunting season. All I can say is that is what was told to me by one official. And yes, signage definitely needs help!
It is a state wildlife area that allows hunting. I believe you are allowed to carry if you have your concealed carry license. Call the Florida Wildlife Commission or look it up online
