The course was beautiful but oh my the staff was horrid. They sent us out at 2:45, gave someone else our tee time, and still kicked us off before we finished 18. Even though we played incredibly quick, before dark, and before their listed closing time. We played in under 3 hours to that point fyi. We had to rent clubs as we were visiting from out of state and they treated us like such a burden and were incredibly rude. Course was overall fun but some holes were ridiculously difficult.

Yes they have a number of sets
Grass on the fairways in Florida is usually Bermuda on most courses. Bermuda is a hot weather grass. In the winter months, courses will over-seed with rye if they have the budget for it. I don't believe Spessard does do that so their fairways will thin out in the winter as Bermuda doesn't handle cool weather well. The greens are also Bermuda but will be a hybrid strain quite different from the fairways. I agree with John regarding the overall course condition.
There are leagues that play almost every day. Most of them tee off @ 7:00 am depending on sunrise.
