Teddy we were at My Warrior’s Place when you were there. Kelly & Chad always treated everyone with kindness & respect. As you know I volunteer for My Warrior’s Place & have always been treated with respect.

My Warriors Place is an absolute gem. A real place to go and relax with many different things to do at the same time. It’s located on a beautiful piece of land that’s off the water where you can enjoy the docks, fish, or get on the water. We caught plenty of fish, caught plenty of sun, and plenty of relaxation away from the regular routine of life. The accommodation is very tidy and well kept. Felt very comfortable for my entire stay and Kelly has done a wonderful job providing an escape as well as services for us veterans and I can’t thank her enough for giving me an opportunity to decompress. 10/10 would highly recommend as this is a great non profit dedicated to paying it forward towards our every day heroes that risk it all.

This was exactly what I needed. Very peaceful place to get some time for rest or reflection fun too. The property has many well done memorials that are both stunning and humbling at the same time. The water and amenities to use in the water are very nice and easy to access. We stayed in the largest accommodation and it was amazing! The entire house was full of patriotic decor and comfortable furniture. The perfect peaceful getaway. Thank you so much MWP!

Both my husband and I are veterans who planned to stay with MVP next month. I requested a nice leisurely boat ride for the two of us. I rely on my service dog for assistance who preforms numerous task for me and is my life line. When we recieved a call from the boat captain the focus of the convention revolved around the need for my service dog to wear booties or have caps on his nails so the deck of the boat would not be scratched. Then the conversation turned to it would not be safe for my SD to be on the boat. My SD is professionally training, been on numerous boating trips without an issue. I told the captain that based on our conversation I felt my SD was not welcomed about and would find other activities while we visit. I called Kelly Kowell to speak with her about the above mentioned conversation and she became extremely defensive, unpleasant and unprofessional. I told Ms Kowell we would like to cancel our weekend, atleast she offered to refund our deposit which I gladly accepted since they aren't even worthy of a donation. After reading a few of the other one star review it's sad to see the horror gold star status awarded to such a unpleasant, unprofessional woman. I am sorry for the loss of your son. I will end my review here and not lower my standards to hers or the boat captain. EDIT 05/22/2021 My service dog and I have been on boat tours with MWP in the past without issues. Truly professionally Trained SD are prepared for all obstacles. I would never risk my service dogs safety. My issues is with the captains pure focus on the possibility of my SD claws damaging the deck of the boat for than anything else. His demeanor was nothing short of not wanting to have a dog on his boat. Then when I called Ms. Kowell to let her know about the conversation and to cancel reservations she did half hearted offer to talk to the captain but it was clear that we were unwelcome about his boat. My issues was than how angry Ms Kowell because. And the same with today. I recieved a phone call from Ms Kowell stating how dare I post a review like I did and she lost her son and how dare I this and that, on and on. Some of us may not have lost our lives in war but live the hell of PTSD every day. Very sad that Ms. Kowell only thinks of herself. Also there are other reviews notating Ms Kowells anger issues.
