I have been coming here since 2018 for an autoimmune eye disorder. I hate the drive, but dr. Grewal is the best. He listens and is honest about my options and supportive with what I choose to do. Parking lot is annoying and sometimes full. My appointments have lasted from 2-6hrs. Plan accordingly! I prefer morning appts. as they seem to get you in faster.

Absolutely not one person answering at the MAIN Duke Eye Center phone number after phoning multiple times, this is unacceptable for this day and time. I got access to 2 additional phone numbers within the Eye Center, both numbers state phone is out of service. Though I have an excellent eye physician and greatly appreciate her.

Best doctors if you can wait 3 hours to see one. The Durham Eye Center is poorly managed and the most inefficient at dispensing care. So plan on spending an entire day.

About a year ago I had a lens fitting that both my insurance and duke assured me was covered. Turned out not to be the case and turned out to be an issue and now I'm on the hook for $700

You can park in the duke eye center parking deck on research drive. Or you can drive to the duke eye center valet to park you car
For a employee of duke university hospital it's about 1,400 per eye with there discount. But for a person who don't work for duke university and hospital it going to be at least 2,400
I think they do accept patient with no insurance, but check with them
Yes they do.
Rest assured, whoever they refer you to is well qualified and if it was Dr Herndon, he is one of the best in this world. I don't set policy but I speak as a client.
Most. You can look on their website for a list.
