I decided to take an alternative approach to my health and wellness after being on numerous medications. I came across Dr. Quinn A.Takei's patients' testimonies that quickly drew my attention. I knew that he could help me too. I contacted his office to schedule an appointment. When I walked into his practice, The Center: Natural Health Specialists, I received a friendly greeting. A peaceful ambiance and inspirational quotes made a great first impression on me. My visit was quite informative and pleasant. Dr. Takei is a great listener! He is also caring and compassionate. A treatment plan was proposed. He thoroughly explained the results of the test evaluations and answered my questions. I'm immensely grateful for the care I'm receiving. Thank you so much Dr. Takei !

Quinn is a phenomenal practitioner and my experience working with him has been nothing short of wonderful. He is attentive, incredibly kind and personable, and gifted at addressing the root cause of a wide range of issues. I struggled with a variety of symptoms revolving around chronic digestive problems (10+ years). Quinn has been able to do what no other provider or GI doc I've seen has been able to- through the combination of addressing my diet, accupunture, use of natural supplements, and stress management, I'm feeling better than I have in years. Quinn is an amazing person and practitioner, and his practice is so welcoming and soothing. I truly look forward to every visit. I am forever indebted to him and beyond thankful I found his practice!

I’m very grateful that my orthopedic doctor recommended Acupuncture and specifically with Dr. Quinn! I’ve struggled with high pain levels and burning inflammation for years after an injury with multiple fractures across my neck and upper back. I’ve tried everything…until now that is! Chiropractic care, trigger point injections, pain medications, massage therapy, and physical therapy have all helped but not enough to help me live life better! This treatment has definitely been worth the wait. I started noticing a decrease in pain and better range of motion by the second treatment. I love that he spends as much time as needed to ask and receive answers from me so that he can have an overall picture of my health and concerns. He’s helped advise me on my diet, water intake, exercise and stretching and ways to improve my overall body flow from PMS to TMI :-) Most importantly to me, I no longer wake up with pain and go to bed with even more pain! Very grateful!!

My experience with Quinn has been exceptionally positive. I was diagnosed with a confusing medical issue and experiencing daily symptoms. Quinn's ability to evaluate my situation, explain blood test results, and recommend tests that had not been ordered by my primary care doctor provided me with confidence to take responsibility for my medical decisions. He is an accomplished, caring acupuncturist, applies a deep knowledge of multiple diagnostic tools, and recommends the best nutritional supplements for individual needs. He also recommended a food allergy assessment that produced surprising and helpful results. Quinn's supportive care is invaluable. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Hi Tim! Bitters can be a great benefit for a variety of digestive issues, but not all. Like all pathologies, reflux can be caused by many different reasons. Often it is the acid content within the stomach...and surprisingly it is often due to low stomach acid. Other times , reflux may be a reaction to specific food proteins. Reflux may also be due to eating habits, when one eats, and how much they eat. From a more holistic perspective, reflux can also be due to stress, anxiety and emotions. It is our approach to get to the underlying root factors causing any problem. Each person is individually diagonised based on your specific needs. This is how a holistic apprach can achieve lasting change opposed to simply managing imbalances. Hope this helps!
Hi Shelia, good question! Certainly, it is possible for one to naturally regulate their thyroid and then no longer need thyroid medications. In our clinic, we approach treatment of the thyroid (as well as everything else) holistically, meaning, we must not only address the thyroid's under or over production, but also address WHY and HOW the thyroid is being influenced. In my experience, the Western medical model will look at your TSH and then prescribe medications based on this value. But, this approach is not looking at the functionality of why this is happening. At best, this will symptomatically manage the imbalance (which may also be important) but is not supporting you in becoming healthy. Health is our primary goal for you, not just managing the symptoms of being sick. We invite you to read our online reviews. You will see multiple people sharing their exeriences of our methods specifically addressing thyroid imbalances. Give us a call and we can talk further.
