Had my vehicle inspection on May 25th. Had my front passenger tire rod replaced per Blatt. Found out from 3 different mechanics afterwards that Blatt should have performed a wheel alignment after replacing the tire rod. Returned to Blatt and asked the woman at the front desk if wheel alignments should be performed after tire rod repairs. She said "yes". When I told her that my tire rod job was performed by Blatt on my vehicle and then asked her why it not even recommended to me, her answer changed. I was then told by her that Blatt probably didn't deem a wheel alignment necessary after replacing my tire rod. She then went back into the shop to speak with the mechanic, returned back and told me that they tested my vehicle and said that I didn't need one. She offered me a discount on the wheel alignment but I declined it at that moment because something didn't feel right by her answer especially since her answer changed when I told her that Blatt did the work. I left and did a wheel alignment test as per her instructions. Sure enough. My car starting moving to the right when I took my hands off the steering wheel. The next week, my tire started to feel wobbly so I took it to another shop. This shop not only services other luxury cars but their wheel alignment charge was LESS THAN Blatt's. AND not only did my front passenger wheel need alignment but ALL 4 of my wheels needed it. I spent almost 2 weeks feeling uneasy because I felt that Blatt was not honest with me. Then I especially felt unsafe when I felt my wheel wobbling. Needless to say, I'm not going back to Blatt. At this point, I feel that they will be just as cavalier with me as the as previous time when I returned with questions so I'm not expecting them to suddenly have "Come to Jesus" moment even when I return back with my wheel alignment report. That was my first and last time. The end. Period. Take what you like from my experience and govern yourself accordingly. But this is why folks don't trust mechanics.

Questions & Answers

I have a full tank of gas but my gauge reads empty. What is happening?

They'll tell you you need a new gas tank. Or your fuel pump is bad. It is just the float inside the tank. A problem because they have to go inside the tank to replace. Monitor your mileage after a full tank of gas. Meaning watch to see how many miles you get before the tank goes empty. Depending on the age of your vehicle, it may habe a light that comes on when you have about 3 gallons left. If that is so, note how many miles you drove before it came on and after you filled the tank. They're going to charge you an arm and a leg. Someone else may just charge you just the arm.

Do you need an appt.for tires

Yes. Go to Clark's tires instead. Call first to let them order your tires. Price shop. Call Blatt and price compare.
