I came in with a lift gate and cruise control sensor issue. I left my truck there the hole day and prior to coming to the service center I checked my truck for error codes where it clearly stated that there is a ground issue and a sensor issue. Was told that because the issue didn’t occurr at the dealer that they couldn’t service it. I told the rep that it through dtc codes and to check them. They checked them and cleared them but didn’t trouble shoot the issues with the codes that were given. I go to pick up my truck at 5 and the issue happens at the parking lot. Showed a mechanic before they closed and he stated that it’s weird that the tech didn’t troubleshoot the codes.

The experience was great. The employees were very friendly. I will be telling my family about Chapman Chevrolet

The sales department here was overall nice and very accommodating. The only issue I had with them was they offered me $300 to "do me a favor" and take my car to the scrapyard across the street that said they would give me $700 for it. I was able to get $1100 for it and I just had to drive it ~2 miles. My major issue here is the service department, which prevents me from ever wanting to do business here again. I brought my car in two weeks ago for primarily a flashing check engine light and secondarily what I figured was a coolant leak. Based on personal mechanical experience and what Chevrolet states the cause of this is, I asked them to check for a cylinder misfire. A few days later they tell me they found my coolant leak and assume that's what the cause of my check engine light was. I questioned this and asked if they looked at my cylinders like I had asked, they said no and to bring it back with the "light on". I paid $730~ (new reservoir, oil change, etc) and brought it back in less than a week later with the light firmly on. I confirmed on my own that it was in fact two misfiring cylinders. They call me back the next day and tell me that my coil rail is burnt because of x reasons and I'll need a new engine for $8000. My car isn't worth $8000, so I decided to scrap it. What really upset me here is I asked them the previous week to check my cylinders (coils, spark plugs) and they didn't, which would've saved me $500 because I don't need an oil change and a coolant reservoir for a dead car. The service representative I spoke to shared he had the same thought, but they only diagnose issues when the light is on, and "they can't check everything a customer asks". I asked him to share my feedback, but he was extremely dismissive and indicated that it would've been time-consuming. It's literally two bolts and a wire plug... I've done it myself. Taking the 10 minutes to do what I asked would've saved me $500 and I could've done without the condescension when I expressed my displeasure. Overall, I, unfortunately, can't recommend Chapman even though the sales staff seems very personable.

Well that's sad...... I am a mechanic and tech .... They can't tell me anything ...... I don't know all ready..... As for ripoff there are places you can report them.....
I think this was the same time the same thing happened to me. I went in for a oil change, which later cost me $1300. Which my car is no longer the same. The check engine light is always on.. Chevy are thieves. Do not go to them for anything. We should all come together and sue them.
These people here seem to have an attitude they can't tell you what part you're looking for or give you a part number😳😳😳
Many cars only come with the inflator repair kit now. It would have been nice if they let you know. That being said you can use the kit or buy the spare. The kit only works for small holes in the tread. If you damage the side wall or have a blow out you will need to have your car towed in for a new tire. An actual spare should be required by law but it is not.
So far our 2018 Equinox has been perfect! Only had over 7,000 miles everything seems to be in tiptop shape had it 2 weeks no issues. Heat and air work great, rides good . We went on carfax and nothing bad, no issues. Sorry you had a bad experience.
