Nice Safeway! This is one of the nicer Safeways that I have been to. Has a large self check out. When I went they were out of a lot of things. Well staffed.

Finding Fresh Meat, and I use this term loosely, is not something you would expect to be a problem at a Safeway store, but today I was so disgusted with what I found I nearly puked! I can understand maybe one slightly past-date "fresh meat" product on the shelf, but three! One of them was over a month from its sell date and the other 2 over a week! I was shocked and horrified. I took the offending products to the butcher on duty, and he said nothing, just took it back behind the counter. I worry about people not paying attention to what they buy and getting sick, but this is the stores responsibility and there is no excuse for this type of neglect. Putting your customers in danger is unacceptable!! (wish I would have taken a photo to post here, hopefully there won't be a next time) And I absolutely hate when customer service replies to reviews such as mine asking me to call them, I don't need to waste my time calling for an issue that should never be an issue! I just want them to their job so I don't have to.

This supermarket is a great, slightly cheaper alternative to Fred Meyer. Unlike the aforementioned store, it does not carry household items and outdoor supplies in addition to food. Safeway is strictly a grocery store; that said, it carries a wide selection of different produce, prepared meals and meats, and has a wider variety of food items overall. The times I have gone, have been pleasant. I'm more of a nighttime shopper, so I'll restock my fridge on my days off. It balances well with my work schedule. It's never crowded in the store and their customer service is exceptional.

This is my favorite grocery store. Awesome produce, beer selection, and stellar meat department. New, clean, and great customer service. It's about 15 minutes from my home as compared to 5 minutes for another Safeway and QFC. But it's worth it!
