A lot of the staff there now verbally abuse the kids and even make fun of them they put me through so much pain when I was there

I stayed here for a while when I was 7 (17 years ago, so in 2004 I think) and I liked it better than the foster home we got sent to after (minus my younger siblings not being with us) but I did have my one little sister with me. We got to share a room and the staff was kind to us, we made friends with other kids going through similar situations and it was honestly fun. We were awarded for good behavior and school work with toys, activities, movie nights, dances, and little parties. It felt like a safe fun place at the time, where people actually cared for the kids and helped us navigate such hard times in our lives. I'm sad to see more recent reviews that say how much the place has changed. I think the staff members need to remember empathy and kindness go a long way in the lives of these kids, its truly something we will remember the rest of our life. And you could even help to shape our futures in a positive way.

Today i found out that jamison children center will not be holding there yearly Christmas event due to the covid-19. Which is very sad because these children have been put through a lot I can relate to how they feel because I was there in the late mid 80s in early 90s. So I know how the holidays are in this place. I would like to ask tell if you are making a donation please make a donation to this place so we can let the children's have a good Christmas. I would like to thank you in advance for your kindness

what can i do if my grandbabies were with thier mother when cps removed them and put into custody of state
Call them and ask if your kid is there, but you'll most likely get told to call intake. Have a family member that works in the kid snatching crew for shafter, was o and arvin areas.
YES! They always have a list. Luggage isn’t on it, but I’m sure they can use it. Diapers, onesies and ironically adult size court clothes are always on the list.
A lot of them have been removed from their parents’ care.
