We registered my son here for the first time and just finished the season a few weeks ago. I wish so badly I could leave a good review! Our first impression to the league was through communication via text. We were new to Bakersfield and new to organized sports so we had some basic questions. (Like, after we register, what’s the next steps?) Emails were answered in a timely manner but they were unprofessional and never directly answered any of my questions. Near the end of the season, I wanted to talk to someone about complaints we had. I emailed the west region office and they gave me the contact info for the league president, Brandon. That could not have gone worse, honestly. I sent him a list of concerns we had and he was rude, unprofessional and basically blamed all the issues on the parents for not volunteering. I explained to him that I was asked once via email if we could help coach. Other than that, volunteering was never mentioned. We were under the impression that some of our registration fees went towards the upkeep of the grounds. That clearly wasn’t happening. None of the fields had grass, the bathrooms were so dirty we couldn’t use them and just overall the fields were sloppy and dirty. When I got nowhere with Brandon, I emailed the district administrator, Rodney Blanco, and I never got a response from him. I honestly could go on, but it won’t do any good. On a positive note, we liked my son’s coach. He’s trying to step up and get some organization in the league and make some improvements. My son loved him and he was really great with the kiddos.

Paid for 3 boys to play and Covid hit. The league won't give me back any of my money I paid. Very upsetting!

Played here in 1965 when I was 8 years old. Brindle Boiler Works was our sponsor. I hit foul ball and it broke a car windshield. If we won a game we got a free Coka Cola or a Salt Water Taffy. Good memories.
