My son has gotten into reading this past year and having a library 2 blocks away is very convenient. We leave with a good handful of books to read and walk back to return and check out more books. They have computers for the public to use.

Online applications will only be processed for residents of Monterey County. All other applications should be made in person at a Monterey County Free Libraries Branch. If you are a resident of Monterey County and want to have a physical library card mailed to you with full privileges, fill out the application on their website. You will receive your library card within 2-5 days
During curbside hours, pull up to the back door and call or text the number posted outside. Your item will be brought out to you. If you don't have a phone, there is a door bell once you walk up to the back door.
Call your branch to verify that they are taking donations at this time. Some are accepting them. Some are not.
You can print from one of the public computers.The printing charge is .15 cents for black and white. It's .50 cents each for color. There is also a photocopier available for the same charge.
