Doesn't open until 10 closes before you get off of work and even though I offered video evidence of my complaints of dogs barking at 2 in the morning it's pretty odd audio and video is good enough for courts in the state of California somehow not good enough for Hollister animal control. Apparently I need to get too know my neighbors well enough too ask them to complete a hand written log of dog barking times and file a complaint there. Maybe they'll tell whomever I finally get to go there too find another too do the same thing just to make us assume they're actually doing there jobs but I still hear these dogs still loosing sleep and no help from these very well paid underworked County employees. Thanks for nothing.

Great staff and amazing animal shelter. We were so lucky to be able to bring home an adorable/well-behaved Great Pyrenees so our Siberian Husky can have a brother to play with and as a family companion! Highly recommend this shelter for anyone looking to adopt!

I know this is late, but for anyone with a similar question- From what I hear they will not go to pickup kittens but if you can capture them you can turn them over to the Shelter.
Yes they take all of those items, i also think they take used stuffed animals no to use as comfort objects for the animals.
I would speak with a local vet and they will have the resources to contact regarding the loss if your beloved pet
I would recommend stopping by the shelter and taking a look at the dogs. Between adoption and owners picking up thier pets, animals on hand change. Also most puppies are usually picked up by rescue pretty quick.
Have you looked in to rescue for your dogs
They are a no kill shelter. They work with rescues and fosters for these wonderful cats and dogs. The staff are really nice.
The problem is it's in your neighborhood. All my neighbors with dogs don't treat them like I would. If you report the person being neglectful of the dog the neighbor may know it was you. Call the animal shelter and give them information that you have. An address so they can go to the house and see for themselves. They may have to rescue the dog from people who shouldn't have a pet.
Can you get it. We live in san Jose. The dog is in Hollister.
Fill out an application before you are allowed to look
A relative
Yes but, they do it every first weekend of the month only
Not at the current moment They usually have just cats and dogs
Call the shelter. They are a branch of the Hollister Police Department. It may be possible for them to do a wellness check depending on what's going on.
