The create your own salad is still the same size bowl, but the potato 🥔 is much smaller. I've had the special house steak 🥩 and the shrimp. Both were fine. I still love the grilled Texas toast best.

I had the 7.99 lunch 6oz fillet special. The fillet comes with a small salad bar, (lettuce, carrots, onions, cucumbers, green peppers, tomatoes, grated cheese, croutons, etc...) a baked potato and Texas toast. I ordered French fries instead of baked, it is an extra charge. The salad is pretty good, fresh iceberg lettuce, and as I mentioned, a nice assortment of veggies, and good dressing choices. The fries are hand-cut style and very good! So is the Texas toast! Okay about the steak, wasn't expecting much for the price but I couldn't even get through eating half of it. It was very tough, and a lot of gristle. I had to leave most of it on my plate. The flavor on the parts that I could eat was fairly good. The restaurant was pretty full during lunch time. It isn't a prime steakhouse but it is a popular place. I have eaten here a couple times a year for many years, and sometimes the steaks can be pretty tasty. Today my steak just wasn't good at all. I would recommend one of their more expensive cut of steak choices. I probably will eat here again.

Ari's is cafeteria style ordering with a wide variety of price options from a larger steak and lobster dinner for around $30 to gyros and my go-to, a 6 oz sirloin with potato, Texas toast, and salad for about $10. The food is simple and well-prepared. The staff is friendly. The decor is diner extraordinaire. It's well worth searching it out in the little strip mall where it's located.
