Damp, moist, mildew smell in 1st floor room. Couldn't get a/c regulated and settings were sporadic so no idea what temp it was actually on. Good location. Pool water was ice cold. Breakfast ok, no kid type cereals. Omelets and sausage was good. Exceptional trademark BW waffles! Overall I think this location just needs a facelift and a good cleaning.

Our stay was just okay. One of the beds in our room did not have fresh sheets. There was dog hair and a flea on the sheets. (I don't mind dog hair, I have a large dog myself and I'm okay with staying at a hotel that allows dogs, but I do expect fresh sheets). We were given a different room, however the A/C wasn't working. We ended up in a third room with clean sheets and A/C. The front desk clerk was super friendly and apologetic. I assured her it wasn't her fault, she's not house keeping. The fire alarm also went off so she had her hands full, but handled it all very well. No elevators which makes it very difficult to transport bags to the 2nd floor. We were only staying for one night, but still had to make a few trips. Breakfast was okay. I've been to other hotels in the same price range with more options, but every place is different and that's okay. Overall a very friendly staff, but mediocre on the upkeep of the hotel.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly checking us in and were attentive during breakfast and during checkout. The room was clean and the free breakfast was actually pretty good! When we left though, Joey the manager was blowing off the mayflies from our car with a leaf blower. My husband told him to stop and its not necessary, and we're actually leaving. Joey said that he was just trying to help then called my husband an a**hole. My husband asked Joey why he would call him that. Joey started yelling at my husband and proceeded to call him an a**hole multiple times. All because my husband told him to stop blowing the mayflies off his car? Ridiculous! Joey should not be in this line of work! We can't believe he's the manager! He is the most disrespectful, terrible and most unprofessional person. We feel sorry for the rest of the staff for having to deal with such a hot head. They don't deserve that. We did nothing to deserve the name calling and disrespect! We are beyond disappointed. After that experience, I honestly don't know if I'd recommend staying at this hotel because of one bad staff...

Great location and staff. Not far from the lake / or good view of the water. Very nice lobby and rooms. Idea couples get away, families and businesses. Love the price and decor. Restaurants and all Fast food steps away.
