Firstly. We had to wait an hour for seating. But the wait was worth it! I kid you not. I was a tad upset we had to wait that long, but you could order drinks and sit under an awning with A lot of chairs and tables to hangout while you wait! The food was pretty good for the inexpensive price tag! I got a Philly CheeseSteak, and unlike most restaurants that use a shredded flat steak between 2 pieces of paper, this was genuine steak that had pieces of fat. I was surprised by this as most restaurants don’t use real steak, but it was AMAZING. I also had the house fried that were a bit under seasoned, but throw a little salt and they were great! Also had the cinnamon baked apples, and those were amazing! Not too spicy, and just the right consistency. Overall 8.5/10 stars! Was a tad loud, and the wait were the only things that I noticed that was okay for me. The rest was amazing! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area, or willing to drive that far into rural NC, and be willing to wait! We also came at about 6 o’clock so the wait might be a bit less earlier, or later!

I have to say that I first heard about 13 bones because they catered to my niece’s wedding. They did an outstanding job, and I feel like a POS that I didn’t take down their names because they were fantastic. We ended up going the night after, and I have to say their hush puppies and Ribs and Steak were outstanding. I had an exceptional meal. I highly recommend coming here

Nice, clean with a view of the kitchen when sitting at the bar. Good food selection and the Grilled Marinated Chicken with roasted veges was very good. 'Local' brews on tap. Service was a little slow, expect a little wait for your food but the server made up for with personality. Will definitely go back when I'm back in Mt Airey and have the chance.

Food was decent and service was good. The place could have been a little neater. The tables looked like they weren't wiped down all that great and there was quite a bit of trash on the floor. But the price was very reasonable so definatly worth checking out.

Everytime I eat there it just gets better. Likes dem ribs!!!
Hi Sharon, we take reservations, but it has to be at least 8 people. Thanks!
No, we are not open on Thanksgiving Day. That's when we do Friends Feeding Friends.
They are closed Sunday - Tuesday for renovations.
I do believe so, the owner is a really great person
They have picnic tables under a shelter that was built because of covid. You can get your food to go and sit at the picnic tables I don't think they have their wait staff outside.
They are following all guides line and making it safe for patrons to eat in and have some what of a back to normal feel! Servers and all staff wearing all of their masks and standing back from guests but still close enough to make the experience personal and they can hear your order correctly.
Saturday night
Thanks for your answer.
That's why I said they were mediocre at best. Not a lot of choices around there.
13 bones has a wide variety of foods to chose from. The price is really in comparison with other steak house in the area. The food amount is really good for the money. The food is good. Service is great. The only thing i seen wrong was the steam vegetables needed to be steamed longer.
Thanks yall, We didn't do reservations, the wait was only 15 mins, it was great! This was our 2nd trip & will return again .... 5 stars!
