This was the worst service experience with car dealers I’ve ever had in my life. I came to KIA Hilltop, Richmond by the appointment for a regular oil change of my 2018 KIA Niro at 55k miles. The car has some small issues and since it is still under Kia warranty, I decided to report them to a service man. He told me that each my warranty request required a minimum one day (I had like 4 warranty questions) of technician attention and if the defect will not be considered as a manufacturer defect, I have to pay for the time they spend to check my car. I was shocked, as I never heard that I have to pay money just for checking the problem on a warranty car. This is not my first car, I had many of them in my life and I never had such an experience before. Other dealers like Toyota, Honda, Nissan always agree to check my car and tell me whether it can be repaired under the warranty or not. Then, I could make a decision by myself whether to invest the money in my car or not. I tried to argue with the service man but he could do nothing. Finally, I asked just to change the oil. But had to rethink doing this after I was announced the price of oil change from KIA, about $170. Comparing to other prices in the area, which are around $70-80, it seems unreasonably high. So, KIA is not a nice customer-oriented company. I’m not gonna buy KIA cars anymore. Before buying KIA car I recommend to think about your warranty service first.

I had a great experience with Moe renewing and upgrading my lease. I went in yesterday just to explore my lease-end options, and rolled out with a new Telluride. Moe made it so easy to trade up and met me where I needed to be with financing. I've honestly never had such a great experience getting a new car, except the last time when Moe sold me my Sorento ;). I think Kia Hilltop has me as a customer for life!
