My wife has dementia and was recently moved from a Memory care center in Henderson to LakeView Terrace in Boulder City. When she was moved she had declined to the point that she was in a wheelchair all day. At LVT, the caregivers have spent more time with her and have her walking again (with assistance) and eating mostly on her own with some assistance. The state of Nevada requires a minimum of 1 caregiver for every 6 residents. The other facility counted everyone on the floor (admin, nursing, activities, etc) as a caregiver when meeting the ratio. At LVT the ratio is more than met with actual caregivers. I suggest that you go online and read copies of State Inspections when deciding where to take a loved one.

Lake View Terrace is wonderful. They take wonderful care of their residents and do everything they can to be sure they are safe and comfortable. The food is wonderful as are all the people who work there

Our friend spent the last 4 monts between hospitals and nursing homes, his care in the nursing homes was horrific we got him in to LVTand he loves it staff is so helpful and friendly, excellent food,, I can see him gaining some of the 60 # he lost back. His depression is lifting and he hasn’t even been able to join any activities yet. i can’t sat enough good things

Both my parents have resided in Lakeview Terrance of BC. My dad was in the memory care wing on Hospice care, and my mom is in the assisted living section where she lives a completely independent, but fully supported, lifestyle. I cannot say enough about the staff and care at Lakeview Terrance. My mom is greeted by the staff with a warmth and kindness that is genuine. They have taken time to get to know her, and my mom often expresses how much she enjoys living there. She is surrounded by people who provide the care and support she now needs, yet help her maintain her independence as much as possible. When I used to call my mom at her home, she was usually resting or watching TV; this week when I called her she said "I can't talk right now, I'm playing BINGO!" Lakeview Terrace of BC has been a blessing to me and my family, and I am so thankful for the staff, in particular Veronica, Mary, Ron and Deanna to name a few, who take such great care of her.

Yes! We understand the time-tested connection people have to their pets. Therefore, we do allow pets as long as the resident is able to care for them or arrangements have been made with an outside service to care for the pet.
Yes. At Lakeview Terrace of Boulder City, we encourage continuity in relationships with all health care providers and will assist in making appointments and arranging for transportation. If needed, our staff will assist in contacting a new healthcare provider.

It starts with a resident or family member tour. If interested, the prospective resident is assessed for appropriate level of care. They then select his/her apartment. The rental rate is determined & agreed upon and Move-in packet is presented to the family or responsible party, including the admission agreement and the physician's report. Before resident is admitted, all documents must be completed and delivered to Administrator. Any medications are brought to the Health Services Director prior to moving in. Move-in date is established and Family member(s) or responsible party meet with Administrator to go over and sign administrative documents. Resident must turn in their ID/Insurance/SS card prior to move-in. An initial level of care is established prior to the resident moving in. Rental rates may be adjusted if level of care is adjusted higher or lower. After a year from the resident's admission date, a Care Plan Conference will be organized.
Long-term care designed to meet the needs of those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other types of memory-loss conditions in a secure and compassionate environment. Memory Care provides assistance with the activities of daily life in safe and beautiful surroundings. Our focus is on what residents can do, rather than what they are no longer able to do. Our planned activities are intended to stimulate and entertain our residents. By incorporating the core values of dignity, respect, choice, independence, comfort and privacy, those in our community feel valued and receive the care they need.
Assisted living provides a personalized alternative for seniors who need more assistance in their lives, but do not require the full-time attention associated with costly nursing homes or personal in-home care.

While Lakeview Terrace does enjoy happy hours, we do not have a bar.
