We rolled into Paducah without reservations anywhere, and called about 5 hotels before I called the 1857. Paul let us know he had one room available, the condominium room, for $175 for the night. I took it and I'm so glad we did! Clean, well-appointed, vintage, remodeled in period pieces, crystal in the cabinets, a shower out of Architectural Digest, comfortable beds, books, I just can't say enough good about it! My husband is NOT easy to please and even he was impressed! In fact, he said we may go back just to stay there for a few days and explore Paducah. Book it, and you won't be sorry!!

We had such a great experience with the 1857 for our 2022 Autism Gala! Thank you for being fantastic hosts and making the process of booking, payment, and all of the logistics so easy so that we could come and enjoy our event! Highly recommend!

Great hotel in an historic building in downtown Paducah. The staff is simply lovely and welcoming to all sorts, the rooms were clean, the venue in back was very pretty, and the location is just fantastic. Our only complaint was that the lighting in the multiple rooms my family stayed in was not really sufficient so it could be super dark in them at times - this is easily fixable with some more lamps though. Would definitely stay there again!

Enjoyable experience overall. Beautiful room. End of night drink at the bar with shift manager and some guests was a nice touch.

There are many restaraunts and small businesses in Paducahs historic downtown. There is also the Carson Center for Broadway shows as well as the Market House Theater within walking distance.
