I don't know how to fully convey the gratitude and appreciation that I feel for this place. From start to finish, every single person I interacted with was kind, passionate about animals, and hopeful that I would find one to come home with me. I ended up finding a dog who is sweeter than I ever could have imagined. Her heart is gold and she is bringing me joy that I never even expected. Given the positive experience and everything that they supplied to help me start on the right foot as a first time dog owner (longtime cat owner), the price for adoption is extremely reasonable. Whether you find the fur baby you are looking for there or not, I can assure you that it is worth starting your search there. Erica, thank you so much for your consistent support, hospitality, patience with me, love for the animals there, extensive knowledge and kindness in general. You all are amazing, and I'm so grateful. This experience could not have come at a better time in my life. Thank you!

It is preferable to make an appointment as the office is very small.
Possibly. Court proceedings not finalized until late in September. I am hoping to adopt as well. A donation would be greatly appreciated by them. A huge undertaking all at once. They need all the help they can get.

They are a ‘no-kill’ shelter.
I'm not 100%, but I think it's $50.00. Call them and ask.
They still had a few last week. Not sure if they are adoptable right now. Or they might be spoken for.
If I had to guess, same as any dog there, $95.00. But, I would call them to double check. They have over 200 applications now, not sure if they are accepting anymore. They have many other dogs in need of homes and cats/kittens too🐶🐱❤❤

The Ontario County Humane Society is a no kill shelter. We take animals (dogs and cats) from Ontario County only and when space is available. There are no time limits on any of our animals housed here
