Great museum displaying a rotating collection of gorgeous quilts. There's a little bit of everything here and I really enjoyed that they included galleries of professional quilting artists alongside galleries displaying quilts from amazing amateurs from around the world as well. The special exhibit with works by Paula Kovarik was my favorite - her textured, line-doodle style really drew me in for a closer look.

What a great experience. A small and quaint museum full and beautiful quilts. I thought I might be bored as I don't have a lot of interest in quilting, but was pleasantly surprised on how engaged I was. A great stop while in paducah!

Wonderful museum. Admission price is reasonable and there are some stunning works of quilted art to be seen. The studio space is well organized and thoughtfully filled. Gift shop has a few great finds.

This museum showcases modern interpretation of the fine art of quilting. The exhibits are exceptional, and some change regularly. Even if your only interest in quilts is that you once slept under one, this museum should not be missed!!

If you plan a trip to the quilt show you will find available hotels listed on the site when you purchase your pass to the show. The site will also list distance for the hotel.

No
I don't. But if you call the national quilt museum they probably could lead you in the right direction.
During the spring and fall quilt shows they have people who appraise quilts
Was there in April during the International Quilt Show you paid at the door, and there were Thousands of people in and out. Bought tickets at the door. But ya might call just to be safe.
I don't have any information on the museum schedule.you should call them directly.
No...not in the atea...call the museum...the ladies will know.
Please call the museum and they will be able to give you a quick and accurate answer.
Yes. Check their web site. There are different rates for adults, seniors, etc. Go! It is worth every penny.
No, no cameras allowed in quilt section as well do not touch! Hard to do cause everyone wants to see stitches and the back, but if everyone touched, eventually would soil and possibly damage.
That is a question for the museum. Please give them a call at the number listed.
I would call National Quilt museum in Paducah, Ky before driving there to make sure an expert will be onsite when you arrive. They aren't there every day.
Doubt it. They don't allow any food or drink or even cellphone cameras. They discourage cell phones and anything that might bother other viewers. Its no place for a dog.
The Museum is closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day but open regular hours on all other holidays.
Parking lot very large, you will fit. Also public lot near by, no fee. Several restaurants close by. Be sure and see the murals on water front. All mentioned are within reasonable walking distance.
