Now I say it was free for me because I have purchased a yearly pass for the science center up at the zoo and it really is amazing. It's $9 per person per entry or $100 and you can come year round during their open hours. This is an amazing opportunity to have in our area especially on rainy, or snowy days when children can not play outside!

This place was awesome! The animals all are provided with enrichment opportunities as well as given spacious areas to live! I also really liked that social animals were given a friend! This place really spends a lot of time to make sure the animals are healthy an thriving! The staff were also very kind and accommodating:) Would definitely visit again!!

I was blown away with this facility. The large fabric creatures placed throughout your walk through the park were so well constructed and fun to see. The animals were diverse and appeared to be well taken care of and the exhibits had some complexity to them. We enjoyed our visit and would encourage others to go see for themselves.

Hi Diane, the zoo will be open at 10 am on Saturday July 3rd and our last ticket for the day will be sold at 4 pm. All of our exhibits are now open including our New World Tropics which is home to our sloth, aracaris, and prehensile tailed porcupines. We hope to see you at the zoo on Saturday!
Masks required, social distancing
I don't know about this, but last I knew they were closed indefinitely. We went to visit about a month ago and there was nothing there, but a service vehicle. Website says otherwise. Sorry
The Binghamton Zoo Admissions booth is open 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and the zoo closes at 5:00 pm.
Hi Casey, There are grills at the picnic/pavilion area when you first enter Ross Park.

Hello! We are starting our fall hours on Monday, so admissions will be open every day from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm and the gates close at 4:00 pm. The Zoo will be open every day until October 8th, and after that we'll be open on the weekends only until November 25th.
Hi Paul, The Binghamton Zoo has approximately 150 animals spanning across 50 species.
Sure. Send them over
Yes. Opens at 10am
Hi Kari, we do not have elephants, because the standards for their housing, landscape, and general care are very high. We are a smaller facility without space to accommodate their exact needs.
Yes, you can request the tram at the admissions building and they will take you to the top of the hill. They also have wheelchair for public use.
I don't ever remember seeing one

5th oldest zoo in the country, in economically depressed area, yet, renovating. Many volunteers who help zoo. They hold many creative events for holidays & more as fund-raisers. These are well-attended which helps zoo continue. Far from a train wreck & no reason to close their doors. Most of our 11 grandkids look forward to our annual zoo visit! I'm pestered until a date is set & we have a blast! Response to neg reviews: If you think it's so bad, have you done something to support zoo? Do you realize that most cities our size don't have local zoo, let alone one as old as ours? It should be treated as a treasure! Aside from all these reasons, admission is still relatively inexpensive compared to other family-friendly attractions. I took 10 people this year & it cost me $55 admission, $24 petting zoo food, $35 snacks, & $4 binoculars-total $108. $4 more if novelty coin press working. Seems like bargain to me @ $12/person!
Yes, my granddaughter just turned 2 and had a blast feeding and petting the animals.
