Jumping right to the chase, Latitude 29 is the BEST bar in the city for tasty, creative cocktails. As New Orleans locals my wife and I have been to Latitude 29’s a fair number of times. The drinks are outstanding!!! While we love a good tiki drink and make it a point to search out tiki bars in other cities when we visit, few get into the same tier as Latitude 29. Most of the drinks are rum based, but gin and other liquors make an appearance too. It is hard to go wrong with anything on the menu as so much thought goes into the recipes. My personal favorite is the Puka Punch. Fair warning! The drinks are strong! The service we have had has always been great. Standout times include our waiter overhearing a discussion at our table on agricole rhum and he brought us over a shot of one distilled in Louisiana as an example.

Super cute place. The ambiance is great for a date or even larger groups. Service was good and drinks are really yummy. Had my first Mai Tai and I am hooked. Would definitely return.

When we’re open we adhere strictly to the city guidelines and beyond, including stricter distancing and lower occupancy than we’re allowed, but at the moment we’re closed.

There's no pictures of the food menu here, do you guys serve Loco Moco? I'm really looking forward to sitting down with my favorite Hawaiian dish and a cold mai tai in a plastic coconut.

Do I need to book or can I just walk in for a simple meal?

It depends on the night! Tuesdays and Wednesdays are relatively easy going (unless there’s something big happening in the FQ.) if you’re bringing a big party, it’s always good to make a reservation or call ahead. Hope that helps!

As of 9-17-20, when will this place open?

Hello Troy! We thought we'd be open by this week but we had a gas leak and are now waiting for Entergy to get us up and running. Unfortunately it might be a couple of weeks. We will be very, very verbal about our reopening when the time comes, believe me. Thanks for getting in touch.

Do they serve shrimp & grits?
