Can never get through to anyone to schedule an appointment. No one answer the phone. I have to drive there to speak with someone about an appointment and the receptionist is very rude. This practice has been on a downward spiral since Dr. Slagle and Tallum retired.

Well. I guess people with constipation and loss toenails, get priority. I've had heart issues for a few months. Decided to make an appointment. Desired a immediate appointment as organ issues, are not something to be delayed. The earliest appointment date...one month!! A-lot can happen in a month. A cure for stupidity, can be discovered in a month. Rome Hospital emergency room? Well. The collective intelligence in that medical setting, said I had...heartburn related to acid reflux. I knew that was not true. And I got discharged a few hours after being admitted. Called for a referral to a cardiologist, from Rome medical group. Got a answering service & they never returned my call. Called five more times in one week. No return call from Rome Medical Group. Seeing specialists at Upstate Health, in Oneida, I told them of my concerns with the heart. They got me into a cardiologist within two-days. And it turns-out the cardiologist issued three different heart medications with a very low-fat, fish diet. It's sad that many smaller communities have better healthcare than Rome, New York. Rome hospital, may be expanding. That certainly doses not make-it better. And to always have nurse practitioners and not doctors, check-you-over, is not a good thing. Big difference between acid reflux & actual heart disease. Big difference from being seen immediately, or a month away. Yip. Rome Medical Group is pretty useless. In it for the insurance money and not much more. I'll take my medical issues to Oneida and Syracuse, for now on.

Canceled appointments and slow service is what comes to mind when I think of rome medical group they just recently Canceled an appointment when we arrived at the office after a 30 minute drive then after the 30 minute drive home tried to tell us to come back and wait just in case they could fit us in but we were obviously not going to drive all the way back so we declined and this has been our experience for the past years so I do believe we are more than fed up with this treatment
