Arrived 1/2 hour early to complete paperwork as we are new patients. The "daytime" receptionist explained to me that I was too early and the "nighttime" staff would be in soon. I asked her if we needed to complete any paperwork because we were new. She responded rudely by saying, "As I previously stated......." I did not give or respond to her with the same negative energy. I understand the need to wait, however her behavior, tone, and comment were unprofessional and unwarranted. She needs to work on her soft skills. Needless to say, we weren't seen until close to 5:30pm for a 5:00pm appointment. We also had to experience a "client/patient" discussing his comics and giving his opinions to the pharmacist concerning while her impending wedding while profusely using foul language in the lobby. I do not appreciate any of this. There is a sign posted in the lobby that states, "Be a kind human." I strongly suggest they take their own advice. I will say the dental students were very kind and helpful. They made my experience more pleasurable.

They were able to get my man in for his broken tooth and offer great resources! Free services for uninsured.

I'm a volunteer interpreter for this free clinic open three evening a week beginning at around 4:30. Monday and Wednesday are open clinic. Each patient is triaged and treated or referred depending on the capacity of the clinic. Tuesdays are alternating specialty nights for diabetes maintenance and women's health. The clinic shares space with Southwest Family Care. A safety net clinic serving the community for decades. Jay doc is a lifesaver for the medically underserved.

Expect to be there 4:45-9:30. You may be out before then.
When I went, someone who spoke Spanish touched me, but I didn't pay attention if there were more people.
You can schedule or walk in! Depending on how busy they are, it isnβt a long wait. 15 minutes or so.
Truman is the best for that. They can help you with financial assistance as well and medications.
Just call them and leave a message, Someone will call you back with all the answers to your questions.
The clinic does sometimes have sample medications, but there are no guarantees.
It's not free. But it's income based
How do you become a patient? My boyfriend needs a tooth pulled but has never been there.
Jaydoc is always free. The day clinic (FHC) is low cost.
No. It is first come, First serve for JayDoc. You can make an appointment with Family Health Care clinic, which is a separate clinic, just in the same building.
530-930 pm
Its a walk in clinic, no appointments needed
The JayDoc clinic is run by second-year students from the KU Med center. They typically can't see kids. Check out the Family Health Care instead.
