I just want to say how amazing solstice is. Everyone has their own opinion but mine, all I have to say is amazing! Jill and her team truly care about these residents. Everyone has their own personal lives but you can tell they loves these residents like their own family. I don't think people really understand what Jill and her team really do behind the scene and how much work and effort they put in. Yes things can't always be perfect that's life and the fact no one wants to work anymore but them they never stop working or trying to make these residents happy and that says alot. Ian the new cook has definitely turn things around for the kitchen and the food is amazing! Risa the concierge is always smiling and bubbly! Always ready to greet! Susan is the sweetest! Always helping and will not hesitate to answer any questions you may have. Shawn in actives keeps these residents on their toes! Always has something fun for them to do. Their maintenance Andrew is quick and fast. Always gets the job done! Desiree the Business manager no matter what she is doing or in the middle of she will always stop and will help in anyway, when it comes to the residents, families, teammates or staff. Jill is an amazing leader, truly cares for the residents, and has put together a great team! And the place looks fabulous!!!

7/21/22 Someone recently mentioned the comment posted from Solstice in response to the Executive Director lying to me. It would be hilarious if not for it being so pathetic. The concern I mentioned was not because of a delay in a TV bracket being removed. If only! No, the problems associated with Jill Morgan and her handpicked team of assistants are far more serious and concerning. The response perfectly illustrates my point however.... they will purposefully deceive others in an attempt to not be accountable for their behavior. 4/25/22 So disappointed in the leadership here now. This morning their Executive Director absolutely lied to me. Over the past several months it has become apparent to several residents and their families this isn't a good facility to live in & we're moving our loved ones out en masse. My family has had older family members here for years & it's very sad to see what it has turned into. The current team probably does a great sales presentation to prospective residents and their families. But as far as trustworthy & competent leadership, please look elsewhere. 8/12/21 The Executive Office decided to make changes. Philip, PJ, Mona, Kirk & Teresa (almost all the people that made this place feel like 'home' to the residents) are gone. They were the team that earned 5 star reviews from me and respected by so many other family members for the past 10+ years. They were a solid source of care and love for the residents. They were a trustworthy source of information for family members of residents. They worked incredibly hard to make each resident feel special and loved. And, they did. The new team has hardly kept anyone - such an incredibly tone deaf response to residents already reeling from having their beloved staff pushed out. As I stated in past reviews (see below) the leadership team was what kept this place afloat. Once Solstice bought this property a few years ago the food quality and budget really went down. Their saving grace was that good people WANTED to work for Philip. Those beautiful pictures on their website- they're dated. They had their poor maintenance person helping serve breakfast this morning. I am completely disgusted by the poor ("new and better")management at this point and looking at one of the many other facilities in the area. _______________________________________________________________________ I wrote the review below years ago... and my Mom now lives at this facility and has for the past 4?5? years. It was The Carlyle but was bought out by Holiday and operates under Solstice. A few things have changed since my first Aunt was there besides the name. It's evident their food budget has been cut and they are usually short of staff. Unfortunately, I think the staffing shortage is predominant in this industry. The most important thing has not changed. The Director Philip Wilcoxson and his wife PJ are still at the helm. It is not uncommon to see all the mgmt. team here pitching in where ever extra help is needed. They are incredibly hard working, caring individuals who show the love of Christ to all the residents. In short, they are extraordinary. Mom absolutely loves Philip, PJ and Teresa - the whole team, really. She does not love the annual rent increase and it's tough on her because it's not inexpensive to live her. Still, because of the loving, caring, safe, active environment, we don't want her anywhere else. And most importantly, SHE doesn't want to be anyplace else either. The facility is beautiful, but it is the PEOPLE here that are the heart and soul of the place. I was so pleased when my Aunt was able to live here. It is a lovely facility and we were very pleased with the head management team, Philip and PJ. They have high expectations for themselves and their staff. As a family member of someone who lived there, it was exactly what I wanted. We felt comfortable knowing she would be well cared for. I now have another Aunt who would benefit from living here. I am hopeful it will work out.
