Is this park accessible for wheelchairs?

Jesse Gunkel | Aug 14, 2022
Leah Lambart | Aug 14, 2022

Yes, mostly. They have close parking and wide sidewalks. There are some steep hills but those can be avoided. We had a wheel chair during the Lenexa BBQ and managed ok. It's probably better if you can have some to help.

Sar-Ko-Par was a Creek Indian warrior who served in the U.S. military during the Creek War of 1836. He died in 1849. The parkland became part of 160 acres that President Abraham Lincoln deeded to Sar-Ko-Par’s heirs in 1862 in payment for his military service.
