I have not been to Mahaffie, since I was 10 years old, I went this weekend and it was very different, but overall it was great. I had fun even being 20 years old it was fun. I would recommend that you take your kids out to see this. There are horses, animals to see, I had a blast.

Great activities for the family and kids,old fashioned yard games, blacksmith, cooking over open fire, panning for gold, washing clothes by hand, sewing a soldiers kit, horse in the barn, stagecoach rides, watering the garden, playing checkers, watching and learning how to fire a cannon from folks in period clothes. Very interesting and fun for whole family. Learned about new plants we had not heard of and what parts of the plants to eat. Thanks to staff for all their hard work teaching kids about history!
