I like to present a family to its fullest in the pictures. In the family photography business, the cost differs among packages and services included there. If you're counting by weeks, schedule your session when you're around 30 weeks pregnant. If you take maternity photos after your eighth month of pregnancy, your maternity might be uncomfortable. You want to avoid taking photos when your belly feels too heavy, usually after 35 weeks.
The most common age to do a newborn photography session is when you're baby is between 8-12 days. Each photographer have their own sweet spot age, but I love the 8-12 day window. However, I've done older and younger newborn sessions as well.
Baby portrait photography costs between $250 and $350 per session on average nationwide. This typically includes the photographer's time for a pre-shoot consultation, the session itself, editing the final photographs, and the cost of the photographer's equipment, supplies, and travel expenses if the photographer needs to travel.
