The tour of a replica Egyptian burial tomb was the best part. Very old aesthetic, inside the museum. A good amount of the museum is about death, coffins, and mummies. The lighting inside is very dim. The outside garden could be kept better. There are some nice Egyptian fixtures out there. Parking is free with a lot behind the building.

Very interesting museum. If you can’t go to Egypt anytime soon and really need to feed your curiosity about ancient Egyptians, this place will definitely help. They covered a lot, very well planned place. Amazing collections. Easily can spend a day. Outdoor gardens are amazing. It wasn’t that crowded at all. Ticket prices are fair and totally worth it.

It's great to have this open again. There's a lot to see here, not worth coming in a rush, take your time to read and see the details, they're well prepared. Con: since the pandemic the external gardens and fish ponds seem in a bit of an abandoned state, hopefully they can get back to it's previous glory soon.

Highlight for me when visiting this museum? The Egyptian tomb beneath it. The audio gave a detailed explanation of what I saw on the walls. This museum has plenty of beautiful relics, models of archaeological sites, sarcophagus, and even an outdoor garden to enjoy. You won't regret visiting this museum of you are into Egyptian history.

Yes! My son enjoyed! They have a passport card with stamps spread thru the museum. He liked that. He also liked the dead cat and monkey (mummys) ;-)
It does have an interactive activity (stamps for a fun 'passport' and finding hidden clues) for kids to participate in! Aside from that there is a fake tomb and garden outside. Everything else is just exhibits of artifacts.
Yes. Also, check out the planetarium beside the museum.. it's entry fee is included in museum entry fee itself..

There is a free parking lot on the corner of Naglee and Chapman (east of the Museum, in Rosicrucian Park). Bus parking is located one block east on Naglee Ave. (take a right on Naglee off Park Ave.) You may also park along the street.
Yes! There is a free lot behind the museum, at the corner of Naglee Ave. and Chapman st. Then it's a nice walk through the gardens to the front door of the museum!
You have to go to the Rosicrucian website and become a member there
I think it would depend on whether or not it was issued for a specific date.
Hello Graciela, You can find information about the Rosicrucians in Argentina here: https://rosacruz.org/

Either is fine but at the door is the best option they will often help you get a better price through discounts
Yes it was open this last Sunday when we went for the garden junior archeologist event and then they had a meditation request for peace in the world time after. It is a nice place to visit on a warm weekend day....

I guess so but I'm not 100% sure. Sorry I can't help... you should call: the staff is really nice and helpful. The space, inside and out is great.
No, but Winchester Mystery House has a lovely venue, right down the road from the Rosicrucians.

They only sell jewelry from China not Egypt
It depends on how much you want to see stuff, it took me 6 hours and they closed, I didn't finish it, i saw like 65% but that is because I was watching the layers of fabric and the marks of the chiseling, and i was reading everything... But, if its something you are going to stop some seconds and move on, I'd say like 2 hours
Ages 10 to 55 $9.00 Adults 55 and older $7.00 Students with ID $7.00 Children from 5 to 9 $5.00 Children that are 4 and under are free! Free Admission for the last hour! * $1.00 discount for adults and children from 10-55 for members of AAA, AAM, KQED, and Military
Yes bus stop is very near to the museum
$8-$12 per person. They try very hard to get you a discount. If you are military, veteran or work in education or often pass by a school on your way to the grocery store, they will give you a discount.
The tomb tour is for anyone in the museum. The schedule of tours is posted and you just line up at the tomb before the start of the tour you want. If it's busy, it's first come first serve. You don't have have to be in a group tour to go. I'm not sure about Spanish tours, though.
No, not really. I think they might sell one or two things (and there are a tiny few books available for a donation at the library), but no formal gift shop.
No flash are permitted however you can take photos
