My 1st time visiting. I look forward to going back! The food was amazing. I was thankful to save leftovers. I only could, because you need to start with appetizers and save room for a terrific dessert menu... Otherwise I would have gobbled all my lunch down.

Ambience & food is fantastic. Love the fireplace and all the history. The steak, chicken and wine list is fantastic. This is my top choice for dining anytime I'm in the area.

Every time we go, dinner is great, service is wonderful, and the experience is well worth the drive to the small town in what seems like the middle of nowhere for some real history and some delicious food. Make sure you give yourself some extra time to walk through and enjoy some of the history that the tavern has to offer... it is truly a beautiful experience, and an extremely well kept secret, that I'm not sure anyone is keeping secret on purpose.

Lovely rustic restaurant tucked away in a residential area. Menu had a variety of choices for a Sunday menu. Food was very good although the temperature of the stuffed cod was not as hot as you would expect but it was delicious. The portions of the food were generous and the service was excellent.Their house Cabernet was their own vintage and was excellent. We were in the room with the fireplace and it was very cozy. We then toured the rest of the building which was really an amazing walk through history
