After a long day of hiking, the green heron ale house is where to go!! Sit and relax next to the river and drink a nice cold beer. The staff was really nice and let me sample each beer to make sure I knew exactly what I wanted! Peaceful atmosphere, shady under the trees, cool after a hot day. Definitely recommend this place next-door there’s a tubing center if you would like to sign up for an extra adventure down the river.

This place is a hidden little gem! Great selection of beers, friendly staff and it's on the river. You can sit on the covered porch and watch people go down the Dan River or follow the path down to the water and sit on the rocks and sand and dip your feet in while you drink. I'll take this little place to spend a day over any other brewery around!
