I booked a color correction. I explained in great detail my hair history and what I wanted. I showed pictures and I told the stylist that I understood if I had to compromise because sometimes you can't do everything you want in one session. I wanted to take my already bleached hair and make it lighter. I wanted to take the blonde to the root if possible but okay if I had some root but I wanted to match my natural root as much as possible. She told me she couldn't take the blonde to the root but would cover it and had to go one level darker than my natural root. Which was fine. She said she would add a toner to the bleach hair. The goal was to cover the red that I previously had in my hair. She added color to my roots and added toner to the ends and blended the two. She washed me out and the roots were black. My roots are a natural sandy blonde and she brought my roots almost down to my ears. The blonde ends weren't blonde at all. I lost that light blonde color I previously had. It was dark and dull and even worse than before. I told her my concerns and she did another toner all over saying it would lighten everything including the black roots. She also gave me a bleach wash saying it would lighten the roots. She rinses me again and gives me a deep conditioning treatment. She starts to dry my hair and the blonde has an under tone of green and the roots are still black. I mention this to her and she says oh its the lighting, it's the angle. And tries to convince me that's its not green. Im trying not to bawl my eyes out. I ask her to stop styling my hair and I ask if I can pay and leave. She said she would grab her manager. The manager comes over and suggests I come in next week to fix it, another hair stylist says to add highlights to the root. These options don't work for me so I asked if I can pay cause I want to leave. They told me no charge. I insisted to pay for her services and time and she insisted that I dont so I left.
