Great nature preserve for hiking and getting outside. It is largely shaded. Be careful if you are hiking with small children as the gorges are steep. We spent several hours out in the preserve and only hiked part of the trails.

We parked at Orion parking area (entrance is at John Bryan SP on SR 370) and took the John L Rich trail to go alongside the gorge. You can take the north rim trail but it is not as scenic as the former. Parking is available at Clifton Gorge Nature Center on SR 343bas well, which is more closer to the gorge. Area is scenic and very beautiful. Vegetation is completely different compared to surrounding SPs. I would say more diverse plants and humid, like a virgin rain forest. We have seen variety of vegetation that haven’t seen anywhere else.

Free parking with 30 spaces? Deep gorge with a swift stream coursing over the rocks. Outlook points peeking over the gorge offer great views. There are placards on overlook decks describing bits of history. Multiple trail choices. Well maintained with sturdy railings and steps. There was even a waterfall with huge icicles! Very nice way to spend an afternoon.

Amazing hiking and natural scenery. Trails are relatively easy, and largely pretty flat, but it is a gorge, so there is some up and down. There are upper and lower trails that give you the choice to see the river from up high, or right …

No hunting and fishing on nature preserve and natural areas permitted (Fishing permitted on scenic river lands)
No idea what you are talking about.
I belive they would be on the outskirts or designated areas only.. Im not too sure. But now i need to know the answer as well. Happy grilling.. Yellow springs is awesome none the less. And that park is awesome but i would doubt they would allow it in path areas.
No camping permitted, within the preserve. Only at John Bryan State Park Campgrounds.
Maybe they were confused with Glen Helen Nature Preserve. Glen Helen, John Bryan State Park, and Clifton Gorge are connected. There is a $5 fee to park at Glen Helen, which is a private nature center,, unless you are a member.
No. went there to see for myself because of handycapped child.
No pets are allowed of any kind. You'll see signs posted at the head of the trails.
No. It is is a nature preserve. No hunting or fishing allowed in the park.
No
It was open when I went a few weeks ago
I go to the Gorge often and see people who have their dogs with them. Pets are not allowed, and I wouldn't take the chance of getting a citation from a Ranger there.
Have only been there in winter for a little taste of the scenery. Depending on the weather you should be able to hike but the lower trail could be slippery.
Short answer is no. However, The gorge extends into the John Bryant state park. It's a beautiful walk from one end to the other of about 6 miles or less. John Bryant has various camping capabilities.
Pretty sure it's like most parks, sunrise to sunset. Some of the path is tricky, so you definitely need to go in the daytime.
2 issues. Space and parking. If it's a really small wedding you could pull it off
Not really
They have a lot of cool stuff in the Nature Center.
You can do all three but you wont get very far
It was daniel boone or Simon Kenton
