I’m so sad to review this poorly 😢 I love this restaurant so much. It’s me and my husband’s typical date night spot when we visit downtown SB. Last Saturday (2 nights ago) he and I had dinner there and we ordered the pasta alle vongole (spaghetti and clams) and another shellfish entree, which consisted of pasta and various fish. There was a single clam in the whole thing that looked like it was bad so we set it aside, albeit stupidly and continued eating because everything tasted fine. We both woke up this morning so incredibly ill that we needed to go to urgent care. I was told by a doctor that we had food poisoning. The doctor let us know that food poisoning can manifest days after consuming tainted food and so we concluded that it was likely due to our special dinner on Saturday, as we had nothing out of the ordinary the rest of the days, and most of it was prepared by me as I am a home chef. Again, I hate to review this restaurant terribly as I have had nothing but good experiences here every time I’ve come in the past. I’m so sad that it is very likely that we’ll never frequent this restaurant again. If you do happen to come to this restaurant, perhaps stay away from any shellfish menu items.
