Worst shooting experience of my entire life. Never going there again, so much bad and rude energy. Didn’t go there to get screamed at and cause an anxiety attack thanks lee kay.
eCLEAN Utah
The range is good but had a horrible experience with the “Hit Your Target” group. The man who helped me, Gus, was very ornery and agitated from the start. I could hear him cussing and complaining about other customers situations before my turn. My experience was no different. He told me one of my rifles was a piece of s***, yelled at me, and complained both verbally and with physical cues the entire time. Worst part is, the two rifles I brought are still not even sighted in. It was like paying $40 just to be treated terribly, not helped or educated. If you hate your job, or what you are doing, or the people you have to deal with that bad then get a different job man. Don’t take your anger out on your customers. I will never use this service again and would caution anyone that doesn’t have thick skin or believes courteous service is a thing from using this service as well.

Great question! The sight-in service we offer does provide muzzleloader sight in.
Yes there's a guy who will sight in your rifle.
Hi Sandra, An adult day pass for the Lee Kay Shooting Range is $5 and a youth day pass (15 years and under) is $2.
I know they do sight in rifles at 100 yards, but I'm not sure about 200. I think it's ten dollars, but it's been a while since I had them do it.
Yes there is. Last I checked I believe it was $5 for a day pass for archery and rifle. Like Eric said, I'd ask them if they have any restrictions on what kind of equipment you can use.
It is 5 for a $1 or 25¢ each. You also receive 1 with your entry fee.
I can take care of it for you.
It is always first come first serve. That said, get there early. The line can get to a very long length.
They don't rent guns so yes, you have to bring your own...they do not have ammunition either, but you can purchase targets there
They have have trap, skeet, and even 5 stand. It's $6 per 26 clays.
Mo/Tue: Closed Wed-Fri: 10a.m.-7p.m. Sat: 9a.m.-4p.m. Sun: 9a.m.-1p.m. Subject to change during winter time.
Thanks for your question! We do not have a range where guests can shoot a stationary targets with a shotgun, but are a couple of alternatives available: 1. We can set the trap machine to straight-aways, which presents the target in the same path every time, although this option isn't stationary. 2. Guests can shoot shotguns on the 25 yard range into the berm but we do not allow guests to use a target frame/target because it destroys the target frames.
Yes! We do offer sight-in services. To register, please call our number at (801) 972-1326.

Yes, Lee Kay does offer sight in services. Please call 801-972-1326 for more info.
Robert, lead shot is acceptable and preferred at Lee Kay. We only allow 7 1/2, 8 or 9 shot size as anything larger will carry into our dog training area. Thanks, LKPSR
Mr. Brewer, If you've never shot a weapon, the best thing to do is call them and ask about training and one-on-one time with one of the managers or volunteers or take a hunter education class (link below). The Lee Kay Public Shooting Range is a full-service public range owned and operated by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. The shooting center has seven outdoor ranges that are open year round. You do need to bring your own weapon. Lee Kay also hosts shooting clinics, ask them about clinics coming up. If you do not own a weapon, you'll need to go to a regular gun range and pay to use their guns. 6000 West 2100 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84128 Phone: 801-972-1326 Hours Please be sure to check in one hour before the range closes. Monday & Tuesday: Closed Wednesday–Friday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m. (shotgun ranges stay open Thursdays until 9 p.m.) Saturday: 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday: 9 a.m.–1 p.m. https://wildlife.utah.gov/hunting/hunter-education.html - Page for hunter education classes
No
i think they started magnet checking since they put in the new bullet traps .. sounds like a semi auto.. they have a 2 second between shot rule , they do have screen ejection sheilds available , to help not fling steel cases at your neighbor . just gotta ask if you cant find one .. its hunting sitghting-in season .. if you dont get there early to stand in line you may wait a couple hours before its your turn and a lane opens up
No. Paper targets only. Also, I've been told that I can't bring any targets that have human shapes. So keep that in mind.
Firearms and archery tackle Adult day pass (16 years and older): $5.00 Youth day pass (15 years and under): $2.00 Shotgun Trap round: $6.00 (25 birds per round) Skeet round: $6.00 (25 birds per round) Five-stand round: $7.00 (25 birds per round)
I've been told there is a range just around the corner from them called "big salty" that does action shooting but I can't find any information on it.
To be honest everytime I drive by they look pretty empty. Might be worth calling them before heading in.
If you mean steel casings that shouldn't matter too much. Steel jackets are often frowned on though. I'd ask on the specifics. And rapid fire mostly means no bump fire, full auto if you've got it, or seeming out of control. If you keep it on paper and look like you know what you're doing you'll probably be fine.
Yes you are more than welcome to use an air gun. You must pay the full fee and abide by the same safety rules.
I could be mistaken since I've never tried to wear glasses to the range. But I don't believe they'll make you wear safety glasses. If your bifocals aren't rated for impact resistance you may want to wear safety glasses anyway though.
You can purchase them
The same concrete bench rests are on the entire rifle range - 100, 200 and 300 yards.
They don't have instructors but I know where the range officers who teaches trap shooting.
The Shotgun Range has a pattern board setup. Check in the office before you use it.
The child must be able to control the firearm if they're under 16 a parent has to be there assisting them or an adult. They must maintain control of the firearm though.
They have a 10 round pass. Pluss you take hunter education and shoot 1 year Free
Most of the time it's 5 targets for a dollar at Lee Kay. The targets have to fit inside the black lines on the frame. No target can go over the black line on the frame. Your targets also cannot have a picture of ex-girlfriend ex-wife a president or political figure.
For pistol you have a 7 yard 15 yard in 25 yd, then for the intermediate-range you have a 25 50 and 75 yd. The rifle range has a 100 200 + 300 yard range. The archery range will vary depending on how you set up
Since Lee Kay does not provide ammunition, you must bring your own ammunition.
$5 is the entry, as Steven said, for adults; for children it is less. You can get a "10-visit pass", a punchcard, for $40- the adult price. The children's punchcard/pass is less. The fee paid to visit, or each punch, is good for the entire day. You have access to all areas, including the archery range. So, if you want to shoot handguns or bows or rifles, you can do all 3. They also dog training areas for hunting dogs. For more information, call Lee Kay.
Actually you can use a bb or pellet gun on the 25-yard Rings but not Airsoft
Yes, as long as the targets are not human shaped. You can shoot on the rimfire range
Yes there is...a couple feet to the right from the admin/classroom building
It is available the entire time they are open. I believe it is $15 or $20, depending on if you are bore sighting or sighting in the scope itself.
300 yards
