Honestly I had no problem with Extra Space until I went to retrieve my belongings. I opened up my unit in Hayward California to literally "All" of my belongings being ate by RATS on top of the unit ceiling caving in which caused me to file a claim. I was not allotted nothing but chump change and was told to file another claim for the rest of damages. Now, y'all be the judge. I made claims and called numerous of times ABSOLUTELY NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL. Now is this how you treat a loyal customer of years spending money with Extra Space trusting that my belongings were kept safe? As they "Advertise," safe, clean, affordable Units. People please be aware everything may look alright on the surface, and they are there to help until you need in more depth help and Concerns, claims they will dodge and ignore you. I wish the best for All and pray no one have to experience this. Still waiting for a response from the Manager at site, claim (adjuster), and or ANYONE TO HELP ME GET WHAT IS OWED TO MY Family. God Bless All🙏🏼

Should have probably read all these negative reviews before renting here. Spoke to manager Mitch and had the worst experience ever. Will be taking my property out of here shortly and won't be coming back. Rent somewhere else if you care about your property, this place is horrible!! **Also good luck with the rent Price hikes**

Do NOT use extra space storage. Their units are not climate controlled, and they have jacked my rent up 60% in the last year. Do NOT use this facility. Save your time, save your money and leave this greedy company alone.
