This is what a rehab center should be like. PERIOD...FULL STOP. The staff at Abby Delray is caring and so easy to talk with. From the moment we walked through the doors with my mom we were welcomed with open arms. The facility is super clean and the people are stellar. It is quiet and peaceful. The nurses TALK to you and ANSWER your questions without disappearing or an attitude. The room my mother is in is beautiful, bright and spacious. The bathroom is up to date and CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. The aides are also very friendly and caring and can't do enough for you. The staff looks you in the eye and talks to you. Most importantly they are most respectful of my mother and our family. Just one example of the kind of care offered here, my mother was craving a diet soda. We just mentioned this to the aide who delivered her food and she was back within minutes with a diet soda. Without being asked. Another example: I wanted to see the facility before going through the process of transferring my mother. I texted the phone number left on the answering service as it was a weekend. Blake left his number and got back to me right away and made it work even with the Covid protocols. Masked up he took me to the room for a look. He was also so caring and you could tell he's in this to help and comfort people. He certainly helped me and calmed my fears. He is in service to the residents and they all know that. The admissions person Tiara was wonderful and coordinated everything associated with transferring my mother from her other (nightmare) facility. She welcomed us with an adorable stuffed bear and blanket. The physical and occupational therapy professionals are working their hardest with my mom. They also explain everything to us every step of the way. The food is hot when it arrives and it is very good and appetizing. Someone put serious thought into the menus, which I appreciate. When you are going through something like this it is imperative the facility be top notch. Abby Delray North is TOP NOTCH! Don't wait for the hospital to tell you where they are putting your loved one especially if they need additional re-hab. Tour Abby Delray talk to the folks here and hope and pray they have room for you. You will NEVER, EVER be sorry.

No one ever answers the phone. My husband's mothers is missing. Do not go to this place. Horrible!

Update to my previous review. While I was very frustrated with Abbey Delray ,when I was connected to the right person my issue was addressed and resolved very quickly. Thank you Ma Neptune and Maria. 🙏🏻

This place has got to be the worst. The admissions director needs to be fired. My husband was supposed to be transferred from the hospital to Abby Delray for physical therapy after 2 weeks in the hospital. Everything was approved and he was supposed to be transferred on Monday or Tuesday. My health care manager, myself and the administrator at JFK hospital reached out to the admissions director multiple times due to her negligence my husband was forced to remain in the hospital for 5 extra days which I think we would all agree is not good. The longer you remain in a hospital usually is not ideal . This woman kept my husband in the hospital for at least 5 extra days and we forced us to try and find a new place. This was totally uncalled for. He had all of his approvals. This horrible woman needs to be fired. She still has never bothered to respond to anyone . And we still do not have a place for him.
