Really nice place! Lots of open tables and grills when we were there. Plenty of swimming space. Canoeing and paddle boats available also. The trails are a nice walk with plenty to see. I would recommend this place for picnicking or just to hang out.

Lots to do here! Was perfect for a quick day trip. Swimming, playground, canoes, kayaks, paddleboarding, full 18 holes of golf... hiking! We had a great time. Took a walk down the boardwalk along the lake and back just a mile round trip! Very easy stroll! We had some snacks and then hit the swimming hole!

Nice little state park. We had planned on renting a John boat when we got there to go fishing, but they only had one and it was out of commission due to a leak. That was a little disappointing. We did some fishing from the shore but had no luck. I would love to return and go kayaking to do a little more exploring. There was a small camp store, a small playground, and a beach area for swimming. We did not drive through the campground. The swings around the lake were nice.

The state park was very pretty. Most pine cones on the ground I've seen in my whole life. Also, first time I saw the fox squirrel. Very nice facilities. Lots of outdoor eating by the lake and swimming area. This was a great place to stop as we were road tripping for a beautiful break.

Cheraw doesnt have unlimited sites . Sometimes there may be a site available, but it sure sucks to not have one because you didnt bother to make plans ahead.
Water and 30 amp only. No sewer. No spaces for large units. Check first!
Looks like just under $100.00 per night but you need to either go on line or give them a call to get exact charges. Might even change based on time of year
The boat rentals have stopped for the season. Not sure about the trails
Yes they rent cabins.. check the website for availability.
Not sure of the cost but it is a beautiful place to have a wedding.
You can boat you can swim I'm not sure about hiking but I was on the lake with my friend in his boat fishing yesterday
No alligators been going for two years fishing and haven't even seen a snake
The shelter we were at did not .best shelter to rent is the shelter on the hill, bathrooms are right at the shelter..there is a grill also
You can paddle through the entire lake, between the cypress trees you have shadow and it is really comfortable at hot summer days.
Yes they have grill setup that you can use or you can use your own grill if you bring one. There are many grocery stores within a few miles driving that have all the supplies you could possibly need plus Dollar general and store of that nature
Bass, Sunfish, crappie, catfish, and a whole lot of turtles that will take your live bait.
I believe winter costs less. Summer is $236 for the minimum 2-night stay.
No, maximum length of stay is typically 14 days.
U will have to go out there because it depends on which building u won't to have it at
You can take your grill .. no power at the picnic area..
Not sure exactly what you're asking. There are 30 amp hookups in the campground and fire rings for campfires. I think there are freestanding grills on the visitor center side.
There is a boat ramp. Yes the parking lot is fairly large it will hold several cars & trailer. There is no charge for parking .There is a donation box there if you wish. All boats habe to be off the water before dark. There is no over night parking or storage.
Very hot & humid in the summer. We wrre there in the Spring -- very pleasant. Golf course adjacent to park.
Golf carts must display a valid permit at all times and must be driven by a licensed driver. This is the rule for S.C. State Parks Campgrounds. As long as you have these you're good to go.
It costs $100 for the year. Source: I bought one this summer.
