What a great place to add to community service curriculum for home schoolers. It showed the beginnings of the troopers and how they have changed over their 100 years. We saw crime lab equipment, polygraph machines, uniforms, training, K-9’s and our favorite- vehicles!! Land, sea and air!! The cabin had a barracks from the 1920’s. There is a tribute wall with troopers who died in the line of duty and a wall of all the commanders who served from the start. Their was an electric chair and information from the Lindbergh case. There are tribute pavers that we loved to read. Make sure you go through the security gate- I thought the gift shop on the left before you go through the gates was the museum (and it said closed) so it created a few minutes of confusion and a few curse words!!

I went here for the Nj state police car show with my friends this was a truly great experience with. So many cool vehicles. These vehicles ranged from regular squad cars, hot rods, bomb squad, helicopters, and cars from movies. But when we went to the museum we were surprised to find many exhibits with dozens of guns and weapons. Though it was informative I don’t recommend for children under the age of 9-10.

Outstanding! This is an awesome display and history of the NJSP. The entire history from 1921-2021 is represented. As a life long resident and proud supporter of blue, this visit to this special place is one for the books. TYFYS and for keeping us safe Troopers! Stay safe
