Wow what a gem of a place. Keith Haring exhibit was spot on. Not too crowded and the grounds and art is beautiful. Quite the hidden gift and not too into suburbs .

I love this museum. It’s a 1st class museum with a small and mighty collection! It has a great collection of contemporary modern art as well as landscape art by local and national artists. It also has a terrific collection of furniture by world renowned furniture designer Nagamuchi. It’s also a beautifully designed building worth seeing all by itself.

True Review
I went to the Michener Art Museum for a special exhibit, however, I enjoyed the entire museum. The collection is varied and offers something for everyone. There is also a sculpture garden. I found it interesting that the building was a former jail. There is a lot of history on the grounds. There is free parking. The entrance fee is quite reasonable. The gift shop is in need of a revamp.

Yes. The museum is next to the library, both served by a large parking area.
Inside the museum the gift shop is open on Sundays and has snacks available. If you want a meal there are many excellent restaurants within a 3-7 minute walk of the museum. Ask a staff member for an insider’s tip.
It contains mostly modern and contemporary art, paintings, sculpture, and art-crafts , and is renown for its collection of Nagamuchi’s hand crafted wooden furniture

The museum is accessible. I'm not sure if they have wheelchairs on-site.
