I have mixed feelings about this building department. The permit clerks are very nice and helpful, the call wait times aren't that long (comparing with other building departments), and overall the customer service is great. But... the time it takes to get your permit issued is ABSURD! Once it took 6 months to issue a fence permit, but usually they take about 2 months for the simplest fence permits, which is just really frustrating.

Worst city management ever, garbage trash everywhere 24/7, junk and nasty people living in the neighborhood smoking wwww you know!!!! Kids playing with garbage braking bottles of glass on the street, this is Miramar!!!!

The water in this city is absolute poison. The water destroyed all our pipes in our home, and now we have to get all new ones, due to how the water is. It’s an absolute shame. And no accountability.

This is the worst building department.6 months for a roofing permit. Inspectors don't pickup the phone in the morning to let contractors know what time the inspections will be. No one the city will return calls. They literally have you standing outside in the sun. The Jamaican lady in the front has a terrible attitude doesn’t even greet people. The turn over in Miramar is forever and a day
