I attended mass on Sunday, a visitor from Pennsylvania. I was so disappointed that the deacon gave a homily and included politics. It was disheartening that he brought up the Rose Garden event (Covid- related). We have a pro-life President and currently a Roman Catholic woman up for a Supreme Court nomination. I would prefer that we look at our blessings and not at the negative things. I must admit that was the first homily that I’ve heard in years, more than I can count, that did not inspire me.

I recieved a friendly reception by the pastor. The deacon and his wife were the same. I could see they were reaching out to people even during this pandemic when people are staying home.
