Took a tour of this beautiful old house and was throughly impressed with all the original features to the inside and outside of the home and was able see the upstairs. The history of the home and the family who lived there and their contributions to the building of the community is amazing. Well worth the stop to take a step back in time. The tour can be as long or as short as you want it. All they ask for is a donation which gors to the restoration.

We visited Green gables during a homeschool field trip, with our co-op. The guides were fun and knowledgeable, our kids got to make soap, play some early 19th century children's games, tour the rooms. There were excellent photo opportunities out in the yard along the intracoastal, there were picnic tables, which was nice because we had packed a picnic lunch.

The best way to keep the historical architecture is to make a perfect replica reconstruction of it with modern engineering upgrades to code. The aesthetics would be preserved and the monetary investment would be a whole lot less costly. As it stands, this house is a roach nest with lead paint!
