I had a great experience. Friendly and helpful staff, a bit of a wait but once I was seen I was out within 5 minutes! Recommend an appointment & make sure you have the paperwork you need.

Very nice people working there. Looks nice and clean, and I didn’t have to wait to long for service 10-15 mins top.

The person who picked up the phone was incredibly rude, like inconceivably rude. If you don't like your job, then quit. People who have to deal with SSA already have enough problems as it is, and it's a bad idea to be rude to possibly unstable people for multiple reasons.

They actually answer their phone unlike the other one in the county to start with. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. The appointment itself took a whole five minutes. Everyone was pleasant from the guard at the door, to the person who actually assisted us. We could not believe how great the experience was, I was expecting it to be a hassle but it absolutely was not. Thank you.

No appointments can be made here. You walk in and pull a ticket number.
It’s called survivor’s benefit. I believe you can only receive benefits from one account. Both I and my wife are eligible for SS. If my wife were to pass I would have to choose between getting my benefit OR hers. As mine would be more than twice the monthly amount I would select mine and forfeit hers. Let’s say she was a big time corporate finance person and I was a blue collar guy. Her benefit might be twice mine, so I’d take hers and forfeit mine. I think, but please look it up, that the age question depends on your spouses age and not yours. If your a 20 year old trophy wife and your 75 year old husband passes I think you’re golden, as he was entitled to a benefit and you are his spouse. Look it up, please.
Nope, sadly, you can not! Reason it is expired and no longer valid. Convert to a Florida State identification card that is current and not expired or renew your driver's license.
Google their phone number and give them a call.
no you do not
Try calling after 2:30
You should be able to call, (I'm not for sure if they are making in person appointments yet) and conduct a over the phone interview(which they will provide you with a day&date that they call you) , requests, questions, etc.. Also if you are applying, you can do that online.
This is a Google Owned questions board reaching out to Google maps members. Social Security Administration does NOT PROVIDE SERVICES thru this portal. Believe you have to go to office, you can try calling but not sure they will over phone
Hi Mike, This is NOT a Social Security controlled FAQ. To get accurate information about your question, call them and speak to an agent. While folks here try to help, you deserve to get accurate and current answers. Look up the number on line to protect your card. It's too important not to. Tim
No you have to contact the public assistance office or use their web site. Myflorida.com/accessflorida
I need directions to Social Security in Melbourne
CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? HOW?
Yes they do but don't know what it is.
This place does not make appointments. They get calls about that a lot. The dmv makes appointments though.
Because it is walk in's only. They have a booth for you to take a ticket. It is not like the DMV.
The office doesn't answer them other users online do if they happen to know.
There's no charge for a Social Security Card. I recently had to get another one because I went back to my maiden name after divorce. You do have to have your official documents to prove your identity (birth certificate/proof of citizenship, marriage license or divorce decree (certified copy from the courthouse-I found out the hard way lol. There is a charge for the certified copy-a few dollars).
