Newport Library has gone through a lot of changes in the last year. Some feel it hasn’t been good and others feel it is for better. Our experience has been a good experience thus far. We utilized the library before the pandemic and were already familiar with the online services. We relied on them a lot as we needed to plan ahead for school purposes. The new system was an adjustment but for us a good one. Books that had to be purchased in the past because our system was limited we’re now available and well worth the wait! We have formed a good report with our “new” library, the staff and it’s “new” system and we’re adapting well! The staff has been so helpful with sharing resources and a willingness to serve the community. We have grown to love our library and look forward to our almost daily visits to pick up books we’ve ordered and our reluctant readers are gaining an appreciation for the library as it is offering new books that they’re interested in.
