What is taking so long for my retirement check to be reinstated? 17 years is a long time to wait for a check to pay my monthly bills? They don't stop just because you got shafted by your law firm??

We are very perplexed and disappointed by these comments, as your case was resolved for very significant and favorable terms a number of years back. We worked diligently in this matter for several years, including zealously litigating the claim through a full evidentiary hearing and appeal to the Full Commission, as well as mediated settlement conference, all with very favorable outcome for you. Furthermore, of our own volition we reduced our attorney’s fees that the Industrial Commission legally awarded so that your settlement compensation was substantially increased. As you are aware, your retirement pension plan would only deal directly with you, and our office obtained and provided the necessary contact information for them. You advised us in writing last year that this issue had been resolved and that your benefits were forthcoming in 2020. We do regret any inconvenience for you and wish you the very best of luck in the future.

Chris Brantley told me in his office when I settled my workers compensation claim my monthly retirement check would be reinstated. I have not received the first check as of today 11/29/2002 17 years is a long time without any pay!!!

What should I do if I've been injured in a car accident and someone else was at fault?

Riddle & Brantley, LLP | Nov 17, 2021
Riddle & Brantley, LLP | Nov 17, 2021

If you've been injured in a car accident due to someone else's negligence, you may be entitled to compensation in a personal injury claim or lawsuit. There are several steps you can take immediately following the car accident to protect your legal rights and strengthen your case. First, seek immediate medical attention for any injuries. Medical treatment and records will play an important role in any personal injury claim. Call 911 and cooperate with responding law enforcement. The official accident report will also be a critical piece of any potential civil claim or lawsuit. Get contact information from any potential witnesses. Take photos of your injuries and the crash scene, including any debris, vehicle damage, skid marks, road signage, etc. Contact your insurance company but do NOT give a recorded statement to the insurance company without first talking with an experienced personal injury lawyer. Do not admit fault or apologize. Call an attorney right away.

How much does it cost to hire an attorney?

At Riddle & Brantley, we work on a contingency basis, so there are no upfront costs and you won't pay any attorney fees unless we recover compensation for you. If you don't get paid, we don't get paid. It's as simple as that.

How do the lawyers get paid? Or shall I say, WHEN??
