This is truly not a good food lion location. But! Allow me to clarify! The problem is not the store or its employees, but rather the customers. I don't know why, but they're rude! They bust in front of you, hit you with their carts etc. I went a few times and it happened every time. I go to food lion in Lawrenceville and this doesn't happen. I go to the one in Littleton NC and it doesn't happen there either. The store is clean. The employees are nice and helpful. But the customers need a course in manners and how to interact socially.

Food Lion in Emporia is great. It's a smaller store than some but the customer service is outstanding. They'll open another register as soon as there are even a few customers in line. They have really improved in the last 18 months. It's a pleasure to shop there. Update: The store is still #1 in Emporia and better than most, if not all, other company stores in the area that I've visited. The staff is friendly, efficient, hard working, and professional. The tore is clean and well stocked. The management team has a winner on their hands!

Stock is limited but it's not Food Lions fault. God bless us all. I love the $ 6.00 lunch meat cheese deals.

Food Lion was good, some of the shelves were empty of certain items. Prices sky high but was to be expected.
